Here’s the thing a sales process can be as complicated or as simple as you want.
How do we fix your funnel?
There is a 5-step process for start-up growth called Pirate Metrics a concept that Dave McClure (angel investor and now head of 500 Startups) that I always make sure my clients work on in order to see growth.
These are the five areas most crucial for startup growth to focus on.
The process consists of the focusing on acquisition, activation, revenue, retention, and referral strategy (AARRR).
And this AARRR process is probably the easiest way to stay on track when it comes to a complete end to end process of how to acquire a customer and generate revenue on repeat. Everybody wants a passive income business, but there is no passive without a system. But remember this is a system, in between all of this are the methods, without having a method to implement all of this you’re just making plans.Below are a few questions that you may want to have think about for before you even start throwing more money at websites, marketing and any other things you believe you need to make money. This is all about optimizing what you’re already doing not starting from scratch.
What process will help you fix your funnel?
Acquisition
To really track the success of your acquisition numbers, you need to track how many people you convert into customers.- How are you going to acquire a customer?
- Which specific social media channel do your customers actually buy from?
- What is the cost to acquire each customer (customer acquisition cost – CTC)?
Activation
The task is not to only get people signed up but to also get them to use your service so they see the transformation in their life.- What does your onboarding sequence for our new customer look like?
- What journey does the customer take when they join?
- What type of customer stays and which ones opt out?
Retention
Acquiring a new customer is 5 to 10 times more than retaining an old one. Think about it, it is easier to upsell a customer that has already bought from you rather than go out and chase new business, you’ve already got that no, like trust factor.- How do we delight our existing customers?
- How can I increase the average lifetime length of our customers?
- If a customer makes a decision to leave what is the sequence we implement to reduce this churn?
Referral
I don’t recommend companies that are pants, in fact, I do the opposite and tell people not to use them, after all, I am not one go down a tunnel of destruction. However, when I do refer, an incentive can often mean the difference between a casual comment and a structured approach. The structured approach helps the company see where their referral traffic is coming from which always great for business.- How do I encourage my existing customers to refer their network to me?
- What element of the multi-channel referral programs can be improved?
- How are we measuring the success of our referral programs?
Revenue
Sometimes it is just taking the time to optimise your engagement, pricing and sales funnels that will allow you to see growth- How do we delight our existing customers so that they become raving fans?
- How can you increase the lifetime value (LTV) of each customer?
- Which pricing models need to change for customer clarity?

Why did I decide to write a post about how to be consistent when I am not consistent.
And here lies the problem.
I am consistent
I consistently go gym
I consistently get up
I consistently make food for my kids
Consistently means something different to different people
And that difference made me totally hate the word consistency
My hate for consistency
Honestly, I used to dislike the phrase ‘be consistent’ or the word ‘consistency; it’s bandied around way too much.
Almost like it’s the secret sauce that can make Kale taste like succulent brown stew chicken.
Which it can’t!
To be clear kale will never be anything close to brown stew chicken.
You’re lucky if Kale taste even 10% like Ghana Kenkey
Yes, the word consistency is dry.
Let me tell you, consistency is as appealing as dry toast that has been pissed on and left over night. I avoided the word because it smelt foul and almost seemed to me that folks were saying put shit content out there as long as it’s consistent.

It’s not the quantity of time you spend on social media it’s the quality.
There is no point implementing a plan that doesn’t lead to your goal.
For example you can’t make SALES without marketing because without marketing you’re invisible. You’ve heard it all before, I hear you. But all this MARKETING you are doing is supposed to do one thing. MARKETING is supposed to start an ideal SALES conversation. Marketing helps your ideal customer to know, like & trust you, if you are doing it right. So measure, measure and measure your marketing efforts because if they are not converting to help your bottom line, then you need to make some changes! How do you change your own stance on being consistent?
Well you have to do what I did, do a complete reframe of what being consistent means, you’ve got to change your perspective
So that the phrase consistency works for YOU rather than it working on YOU.
Because I know my distaste for consistency was much smaller than the love I had for achieving my dreams!
I had to step back and think of the passionate hatred I had for the word consistency and how much it was costing me
The cost of not being consistent
My hate for consistency was costing me results I needed in order to find out whether a strategy was effective enough.
My hate for consistency was making my sales funnel longer than needed (losing £££££ per month)
My hate for consistency was messing with my fulfilling my vision and overall purpose
Total cost of consistency = too much
Work out what your lack of consistency is costing you.
I had a revelation…my hate for consistency was like being on a train and getting off too early because it was taking too long to get to my destination.
That was not only illogical but also a complete waste of time.

I also had to acknowledge my feelings and situation and get real. I have a real problem with social media and needed to take stock of what I was really doing with my life!
So lot’s of people have used the word be consistent, but I am the type of learner that likes to go deeper, you can’t just tell me to change my behaviour because it benefits my audience, you have to involve me.
Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. Benjamin Franklin
So how do you learn to be consistent when you have ADHD?
Consistency is a skill.
A high performance skill consists of having the right environment, ease and enjoyment in the process to engage a ADHD brain
And in order to learn a skill, you have to be involved in the process
The questioning process is the first step
So here are some questions that will help you learn how to be consistent?

My Answer: Overwhelm from the experts who have conflicting messages about what I should be doing and their opinions on the way I speak, what I speak about and my imperfections

My immediate response was yeah but I have created goals before
So asked yourself this question what needs to change when it comes to your goal setting technique?
Do you need to create goals that fit in with my behaviour rather than completely change my behaviour?
Second Step of Consistency
Folks, boys, and girls I present DUMB goals, this is the second step
DUMB goals is an acronym and is a concept that I first heard about from Brendon Burchard when I took one of his group coaching program (disclaimer, I like to give props where they are due).
D = Dream
U = Uplifting
M = Method
B = Behaviour
Here is my take on the DUMB goal it is called a D.R.E.A.M.S goal inspired by Brendon
D = Destination – Where are you going, what does that look, feel and sound like?
R = Remarkable – Who will you become after you achieve this goal?
E = Elevation – How will this goal help others?
A = Attitude – Which version of me do I need to show up as?
M = Microwave – What is going to give you instant gratification? How can I am amplify this? If you were to know the steps to get your dish hot in your mind what would they steps consist of?
S= Swinging & Singing – What song will be my anchor to keep going no matter what?

Most definitely, personal branding is all about being unapologetic about your desires, because you have the platform to articulate your truth with no apologies. Your personal brand doesn’t start from “The Sales Conversation”
So where does personal brand start? It starts from every touchpoint of your brand. They may find you on Twitter, Instagram, social media mention, an email, your website, word of mouth etc. There are many ways for people to find you, you can’t control that part of the attraction journey, however, you can control the experience of the attraction journey. 1. Don’t apologise for being you
I am not just a mom, I am an advocate of equality, truly believe that no man woman or child born with a learning disability should be born into poverty or social exclusion. However, these things happen and anyone stuck in victim mode needs to look again and realise just because people feed you shit about there own fears it doesn’t mean that you have to eat it. Stop eating shit. I also believe that you deserve more, but you have to not only go out and get it with every breath in your body but you have to consistently and intentionally go and get it. I am also a speaker, a divorcee, a mum who chooses to be single, a 7 figure business development manager, a WordPress developer, a certified trainer, a certified coach, founder of confident school, lingeriestar where truly believe every woman deserves to feel like a star, a burlesque dancer, improv artist, avid movie watcher, dancer, weirdo and there is even more to me that I find out about myself every day so I surprise myself and have always something new to share2. M&C is my favorite drink (alcohol that is). It’s my go to. My friends know what to order me and if everything else is inconsistent, it is never my drink choice, my Malibu and Coke stays consistent. Remember what it that YOU stay consistent about. What you are known for in terms of your values, your truths, And perspectives change and your truth will change. However, your consistent core of who you are and what you stand for is consistent because you should know who you are and what type of legacy you are trying to create. Years ago I wrote my fucking eulogy and I consistently go back to it, what I want others to say about me, what impact I made and my husbands words about me. You know the people that will up your game! Reynolds notably championed the idea of a “Deadpool” standalone movie for over a decade before the first feature hit theaters. He first saw the comic strip in 2004, then the first draft of the script was penned five years later. It was finally greenlit years after that and hit theaters in 2016. Be around people that are growth engineers. People that are persistent f*** who don’t give up, who inspires you to be the best version of yourself. I no longer accept people that don’t do that for me. Why? Because life is win win, I shouldn’t be propping you up and dragging myself down, that shit is draining4. Be clear on your goals & don’t let foolishness take you off track
My diction is an issue for some people. I can’t control whether somebody likes my tone, the way I pronounce things. it comes back to number one apologising for who you are. I was born with an umbilical cord around my neck which stopped me from being able to breathe. I didn’t realise the impact of that until I was in my 30’s but when I did I started public speaking lessons. I have been going to Toastmaster meetings for over 4 years, but here’s the thing the people that I have sold to, have understood me completely. And I have sold millions, that’s what I have to focus on when someone tries to feed me their shit (back to point 1). Because for a long time I didn’t go public because of the diction issue, the dyspraxia issue, but I am not a victim and my vision is bigger than my ego and people pleasing doesn’t serve me. So control what you can. For example: How many live streams you did you do today? How many people did you ask to jump on a call? And how many people you have conversations with? This is not about whether they take your offer, you can’t control that, you can only control how you show up5. Repeat what works and get rid of the stuff that doesn’t
My short sightedness my trait of being myopic is not a bad thing. Because looking too far ahead will get you unfocused.
